How We Work
At ELVC, we recognise the uniqueness of each individual's experience with vocal massage. What may be beneficial for one person might not resonate with another. While we bring expertise in bodywork and manual therapy techniques, we emphasise a collaborative approach at ELVC, where we work together as a team.
During vocal rehabilitation or recovery from a vocal injury, we may recommend additional support alongside vocal massage.
To ensure that your treatment journey is tailored to your specific needs and conducted with the utmost safety, we always initiate the process with an initial consultation. This ensures that your care is personalised and comprehensive from the outset.
Practitioners
Sim Virdi brings a unique blend of expertise to her practice as a vocal massage therapist, voice rehabilitation coach, and artist manager. With a BA from the Conservatorium of Amsterdam, specialising in Jazz Vocals, and additional training in Estill Voice Training (levels 1 & 2), Sim expanded her knowledge with qualifications in Vocal Massage & Laryngeal Manipulation, studying under Jacob Lieberman and Oxford Vocal Massage.
Alongside her expertise in vocal therapy, she holds coaching and mental health first aider certifications, ensuring comprehensive support for her clients.
Navigating her own journey with vocal nodules deepened her curiosity for the intricacies of anatomy and voice technique. Recognising a gap in early performance education on vocal care, she began guiding singers and voice users with empathy and understanding, emphasising the importance of both vocal health and performance readiness.
Motivated by a genuine desire to support fellow artists and voice users in maintaining vocal health, Sim is dedicated to fostering holistic well-being in the music industry. As a qualified Massage Therapist and Voice Rehabilitation Coach, she undertakes regular courses as part of continued professional development (CPD) .
Throughout her recovery journey, Sim also held roles as an artist manager and a project manager in music licensing and distribution. Notably, she participated in the MMF/ YouTube Music Accelerator Program for music managers (2022). Despite her varied professional roles, Sim continues to stay dedicated to her craft, lending her voice to projects like ABBA Voyage in London.
